Face Me I Face You is a collection of witty and humorous poems existing at the interface of identity, class, and culture. It holds a mirror to the working class by capturing the narrative essence and dramatized aspirations of its characters. The deployed humor and satire humanizes our modern realities and reaches beyond the tragedy of these colorful archetypes of city life
FATHER! Maldives will look good on my skin, and let my melanin pop like Otedola’s pikin. FATHER! Relocate me to Canada and let my backyard be America. FATHER! Rolls-Royce is my inheritance, and let my enemies tremble at my presence!

The pages of this book are packed with brilliance and excitement and i loved it.
Face me I face you is a collection of poems that have the best humor and I loved how much it made me smile. It is a short and sweet read that I will advise to read when you want to relax.
I loved the complexities of the characters and how much they overlapped development and lived the authentic Nigerian experience. This book is set in Nigeria and you can tell from the phrases used and the nostalgia that it brings. Sade and Bimpe are my favorite characters.
The art in the book is so beautiful and it helps you to realize that the book is divided into three parts; Palava that makes you understand why you need to keep reading, Face me I face you for real drama and Water and Garri for the most unique and impeccable love story.
Water and Garri is my favorite part because everybody who knows me, knows that I am a romance connoisseur and a lover of quirky and sweet things. The romantic bond shared between was my favorite moments reading the book because I laughed out so loud. I Enjoyed reading it so much and I recommend.
My favorite poems are How I got this ring, Iya Ijo, Madam Koi-koi, Good Husband material, Love at first account and Father. Oh how I loved Father! It is so funny and will take your breath away literally.
A light hearted and sweet, satirical read that highlights some parts and the life of normal Nigerians living in Nigeria just like its name.
