Between taking night classes for her MBA and her demanding day job at a cruise line, marketing manager Henley Evans barely has time for herself, let alone family, friends, or dating. But when she’s shortlisted for the promotion of her dreams, all her sacrifices finally seem worth it.

The only problem? Graeme Crawford-Collins, the remote social media manager and the bane of her existence, is also up for the position. Although they’ve never met in person, their epic email battles are the stuff of office legend.

Their boss tasks each of them with drafting a proposal on how to boost bookings in the Galápagos—best proposal wins the promotion. There’s just one catch: they have to go on a company cruise to the Galápagos Islands…together. But when the two meet on the ship, Henley is shocked to discover that the real Graeme is nothing like she imagined. As they explore the Islands together, she soon finds the line between loathing and liking thinner than a postcard.

With her career dreams in her sights and a growing attraction to the competition, Henley begins questioning her life choices. Because what’s the point of working all the time if you never actually live? Goodreads

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this arc in exchange for a review.

When someone tells me that a book is going to be an enemy to lovers trope I always jump on the train . There’s just something about it that makes my tummy flutter . I won’t say I expected anything reading this , but it just engulfed me later on while reading.

Henley Evans takes the lead story with her evergreen zeal to be promoted in her place of work and take the a higher position where she would be able to pay off her school loan and sort out other issues in her life.

She has competition anyways ; Graeme her co worker and enemy turned frenemy .

He is a pain in the neck to her and she is at loggerheads with him even when he isn’t even present physically since he stays in another city . They are assigned to go for a trip to Galapagos where the journey to defeat her arch enemy to grab the position begins .

It’s a beautiful place with lovely scenery and you can travel there just by reading the book because the author is very precise with details about the place which I love so much. They are assigned by their boss as an official trip to actually see who will be fit for the position.

Walsh , Henleys sister plays a big role in the book by being her supporter and her too being supportive in helping her to leave an abusive relationship. There is so much fun in the Gualapagos and Henley gets to meet Graeme finally in person where it seems like she has fallen for him. This is not a game so she tries to concentrate and be her best so she won’t end up getting thrown out of the company like her former relationship with a fellow co worker that maybe cost her a lot. It also highlights that in some places of work till now , the women are not given second chances and still put in an uncomfortable position.

Doctor Nikolai a chiropractor has an important role in the book as someone who accepts very good and supportive gestures and never takes it for granted.

Admits their differences, they fall in love and Henley has finally found someone who’s so supportive like Graeme.

Family plays a beautiful role in this book with the way Henley and Walsh love each other and radiate sisterly love. Friendship even because there are friends that truly want the best from you. Moral standards are also upright in This book where she has to prove that her work idea is stolen by her boss and the actions taken against him.

I laughed a lot while reading this , especially the part where Henley had to hide Mr. Chiropractor and Graeme in the bathroom so their supervisor would not see them . Ooops! Did I give out so much information? Why not read the book to find out?

If you want a sizzling romcom (romantic comedy) with travel adventures , family and friendships and my best trope ; enemies to lovers then you’ll love this book and yes you might feel it’s cheesy but who doesn’t love a beautiful romance novel that’s cute.

It will be out on 19th January. I hope you enjoyed the review and will read it .
